I helped remove a bullet from a man's back yesterday. I don't know when or why he got shot, but he had a scar on the right side of his back and the bullet had traveled all the way to his left side and was embedded below the skin. I had to go more than an inch deep and I could feel the bullet with my finger but I just couldn't get a hold of it. I was drenched in sweat and exhausted when I tapped out to Dr Ed who worked a few more minutes and got that sucker out. It was by far one of the coolest and one of the bloodiest things I've ever done in Haiti!
