Today I received this piece of news from Haiti: Merline Jean, who had been sent to stay with her parents during the summer, is coming back to the orphanage on Friday! The place just is not the same without her energy and her mischief, so it will be great to have her back.
School started yesterday for all of our kids except Alex Jerome, Argentine and Stephanie Quoichil. When I was living there, all the girls would come to my room before school started to get their "Have a good day" kisses, so they wrote me today to say how much they missed being able to do that. Believe me, I miss being able to do it!
