"They didn't find her"

The search party couldn't find Lovena. It's a long story but the conclusion is simply that they didn't find her.

On my second ever post about Lovena, I wrote that "it is my goal to not lose my heart to the kids I work with in Haiti." This is why. I don't have words to describe the ache I feel over losing her in this fashion...the sense of responsibility...the anger over the brokenness of this world...the frustration at my inability to do anything about it...the ache...

It hurts.

Everyone is still praying for her and for her family and friends, and we will continue to pray.

They didn't find her but Jesus knows exactly where she is. Matthew 18:10 See to it that you do not despise one of these little ones, because I tell you, their angels in heaven always have access to my Father in heaven. I am praying that God will be in constant contact with her guardian angel and that she, like Joseph who was sold by his relatives, will find a place of purpose and favor. I pray that what her mother intended for bad, God will use for her good! Do it Lord! And if possible...let us know that you are doing it so that we can have proof of your faithfulness to share with others! Praying, Shelby Wilson

wherever this little darlin' is now or will be in the future, God is already there. Just as important, He is with you, too. and He is the One who put the compassion into your heart for each of those you have helped. From all of this we are praying for you to be comforted & for God to be glorified
God bless you Kez ~ Ruth Marshall

Yes, Keziah, my prayers too have been for a result that glorifies God, not necessarily the end that we would have planned. He can do great things for Lovena. I've been praying that all the time she has spent in the company of believers will have a long-term effect on her, that Lovena will seek out God as she matures, that she will be drawn to God.

This saddens my heart. I wish there was something more we could do. I have to hope that we may be surprised one day and she will return.

Your heart for her is a prayer, a need, a promise, something broken, an offering and a gift. May He protect Lovena, and may He redeem this.
